The entrance to the Petra site is a series of rolling hills leading to a long, winding, narrow passage that leads to the Treasury. On the rock faces on either side there are hundreds of tombs carved out of the rock. Some are more grand than others, but none of them prepare you for the size and majesty of the Treasury itself.
