Travel Log - Australia 2007

I have always wanted to see Australia.  After working in Ottawa for 18 months I thought I deserved a treat and had saved enough reward miles to get a ticket to Australia.  As I was figuring out my budget for accommodations and travel around the country I received a phone call asking me if I would be interested in taking a position with the army.  It sounded interesting, so I put my vacation plans aside.  Things evolved and I ended up in a position as the Canadian National Coordinator for the American, British, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand Armies' Standardization Program.  After a few trip to Washington I was told that my next trip would be to some meetings in Melbourne, Australia.  I received permission to take a weeks worth of vacation time while I was down there and dusted of my previous plans.
